2017 is coming to a close and we are thrilled to be part of so many great adventures. We attended Planet Comic Con, Smallville Comic Con, Tulsa Pop Kids Expo, O Comic Con, TOPCON, among many other events this past year. IBOT will be working on some new projects to tantalize the senses for our future events. We are very excited and are currently in the works to bring some truly exciting and unique things to the convention scene as always. We want to wish everyone happy holidays and we are thinking of you. Wish us well on our new upcoming adventures so we may share them with you. :)
TOPCON marked the end of our 2016 year and boy-oh-boy was it an exciting and scary year! We had a great time meeting new friends and catching up with old friends. We had the opportunity to catch up with Stan "the Man" Lee, not to mention countless other celebrities, cosplayers, artists and vendors alike. We had a scare in July that Momma IBOT had stage II Cancer. We are still working on getting her back on her feet, but it seems that treatment is going well and we are excited to announce she is doing better. We will know more later this year and update. Agent Stan, Agent Iron America , Agent Iron Man and Agent War Machine were inducted into the Men VS Cosplay Calendar and will be listed in the 2017 Calendar. We also received news that Agent Gree made it into the Women of Cosplay Calendar and will also be listed in their 2017 Calendar. Woot, woot! We will be working on our 2017 convention calendar and updating our event announcement section as quickly as we can, but for now...we're going to take a much needed break.
In July 2016, Momma IBOT was rushed to the emergency room where we learned she had Stage II Cancer. It was shocking news for the team. While undergoing chemo treatments, Momma IBOT was also diagnosed with an aggressive DVT and had to have surgery to remove the clots. Since then, she has been a real trooper and working hard to kick the cancer. In the meantime, IBOT has had to limit appearances as we work through her recovery. There is a bright side in that she seems to be recovering nicely. We will update our fans with her status as we know more. We want to thank everyone for their thoughtfulness through this difficult time. From the IBOT team to you, Thank You.
IBOT are official calendar inductees to MEN VS COSPLAY Calendar. Every year, Men VS Cosplay bands together to create a calendar and spotlight the male cosplay talent in the community. It is an honor and privileage to be among many talented artists and be included in the 365 Days of Cosplay.
The IBOT team is excited to have Stan Lee as a Guest at our local convention, Planet Comicon. We are always excited whenever we have the opportunity to catch up with Mr. Lee. We are Stan Fans! Who's READY!!???

We have a new promotion video. While it's not a final version, it was just too fun not to share. Have a look:
War Machine received a breath of fresh air with a much needed upgrade. Pictured to the right is the old War Machine armor in all its glory. The War Machine costume was closing in on 10 years old, only to receive minimal fixes and repairs along the way. Needless to say the years of trooping have been rough on the armor to say the least. After taking a SAWSALL and cutting him to pieces. He was re-assembled again in the vision we believe War Machine should look like. As with all our creations, we put our own creative spin on characters. The upgrades took us one month to complete. We spent a few sleepless nights in order to have him ready for an upcoming event at Planet Comicon 2015, but he turned out pretty nice with the timeframe we had to work with. Below are a few of the images captured by some of our talented photographers of the new and improved War Machine Armor. A big THANK YOU goes out to Chris Dorsey Photography, Nick Shale Photography and SPC Portrait Art.
Battlestar Galactica fans are buzzing with excitement with news from Universal of a Battlestar
Galactica movie, aiming to develop the film as a complete reimagining of the story. A prop and costume group, known as the Iron Brother of Topeka, www.IBOTks.com, or IBOT for short, snapped to action and created the ultimate conceptual
design of the beloved Cylon Centurion. "We wanted to give the fans what they wanted and thirsted to see from the rebooted series, but didn't really get to see." Through their concept design, they're
giving the fans exactly what they want to see…a romping, stomping, battle hardened Cylon that doesn't look like something anybody would want to mess around with.
At San Diego Comic Con 2014, Richard Hatch (Tom Zarek, Captain Apollo), Jamie Bamber (Lee Adama), and
Dr. Kevin Grazier (science consultant for Falling Skies, Battlestar Galactica, Eureka) and others hosted a discussion and Q&A on the upcoming Battlestar Galactica movie and where fans would like
to see the story and characters go. Although IBOT didn't get the opportunity to attend this panel discussion, they certainly weighed in on the matter with their interpretation of the Cylon Centurion
character. "We wanted our Cylon to look menacing and be a force to be reckoned with….even the Lords of Kobol would seek safe haven from such an entity." IBOT's Cylon stands over 7ft tall and
incorporates elements that remind us of the original Cylons, with attention to elements fans liked from the new.
IBOT worked for 8 months taking their paper concept design to reality with a stand-up, wearable prop
complete with lights, sounds and that iconic voice we loved so dearly from the original series. "It was a challenge for sure. We have full time jobs and children so we worked in our free time to
complete the project, but managed to get the job done." IBOT goes on to say, "We'll be unveiling our creation at Wizard World Chicago 2014 with future dates and showings to be announced. Ultimately,
we'd love to see our design in the upcoming Battlestar Galactica movie, but we'll leave that for the big wigs to decide…By Your Command."
As of this writing, IBOT debuted their Cylon at Wizard World Chicago on 8/23/14 for the costume contest
and won Best in Show for their creation. The design had an overwhelming response from fans who took favorably to the new design.
